2nd Annual MeToo Kitsap: A Gathering of Voices

Join MeToo Kitsap for the 2nd year of sharing support through stories and poetry in this open community event.

Chellie Labonete, the founder of Students Against Sexual Harassment, came up with an idea that we will introduce. We are calling it “The Love Letter Project”. It is your opportunity to send messages of hope, healing, kindness and validation to survivors of sexual violence. Things to remind them they are believed and have people in their community who will stand by them. Postcards, greeting cards, pens and markers will be provided, but you may also bring your own.

In addition, we will also be holding a fantastic raffle and silent auction fundraiser to help support survivors of sexual violence and those of us who are working on policy change. It is past time to do something about unprocessed Rape Kits, to extend the statute of limitations on rape charges, child marriage laws to be reformed and more. There will be fantastic items, so come prepared! If you have anything you would like to donate or have connections to businesses that can offer us gift cards/certificates, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you would like to buy raffle tickets before the event, let us know. You don’t have to be present to win.
