Comment on the Green New Deal at Council

At this BI City Council Meeting, the council will consider a resolution in support of action on the Green New Deal and HR 763 – the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act.
We need a strong show of citizen support for this to show the Council that climate change is an issue important to Bainbridge Islanders. There is a public comment period where you can offer your support – you don’t need to stay for the whole meeting. Please meet at the Council chambers at City Hall by 6:25 PM (6:15 ideal) to sign up for public comment at 6:35. We’re not sure where the resolution will be on the agenda (the draft agenda we’ve seen has it at about 8:00), but you can comment at the beginning of the meeting if you’re there to sign up no later than 6:25.
