Community Information Session: Increased ICE Arrests of Refugees

December 6, 2017 @ 5:15 pm - 7:30 pm

By now, you may have heard the nationwide reports of increased ICE arrests of refugees with criminal records, including refugees from Cambodia, Laos, Cuba, and Somalia. This development is a departure from past ICE practice and policy regarding individuals from certain refugee-sending countries.

This info session will provide community leaders and community-based organizations a chance to share what they’re seeing and hearing about ICE’s deportation efforts in Seattle-King County, hear from immigration attorneys about recent cases, and get information about where people can go to get legal assistance and other help.

Please RSVP and share this invitation with others in your community who might find this session useful. Please also note that this educational session is not intended to provide individual legal advice.

This event will be broadcasting on Facebook Live through the Seattle Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs Facebook page.

Light refreshments will be provided.

Interpretation will be provided. Please let the organizers know about any interpretation needs.
