Press Conference & Demonstration at Amazon Spheres
On Tuesday 10/15, Amazon announced that they are pledging another $1 million dollars to the Seattle chamber of commerce’s PAC. Unlimited PAC spending by corporations and wealthy individuals to corrupt our local electoral process is unacceptable and should be condemned by all candidates and voters. Candidates and local leaders will speak out against this spending and inform voters on how to recognize and fight back against this attempt to buy our elections.
Fix Democracy First is working with CM Lorena González to pass an ordinance in Seattle that would put a $5000 limit on independent expenditures, basically shutting down super PACs.
