Jump In and Volunteer in Kitsap County

Would you like to help children improve in reading or math? Put on an apron and cook for a community dinner? Exercise dogs at the animal shelter? Help maintain trails and monitor steams and tidelands? Sort and package food to send home to families who struggle to provide sufficient meals? Serve as an interpreter for a Spanish-speaking person? Sing, play music, or have a conversation with someone in a care facility? These are all activities that bind us to others; there is satisfaction in the giving and the receiving.
This forum will provide an overview of the volunteer needs in our Kitsap community, share stories from people and groups helping address those needs, and offer ideas for how to get involved. Our Forum speakers are managers and volunteers in community programs working in the human service, environmental, and animal welfare sectors.
Maybe this year will be your time to JUMP IN.

The Kitsap Aware forum series is open to the public, admission free.
