Let’s Talk the Green New Deal!

It’s at the corner of 305 & Winslow Way, by the ferry terminal.
Shelley Jay, mother of one of the originators of the Sunrise Movement – the main youth contingent moving the Green New Deal forward – will talk.
She will talk about:
• Science talking points
• The GND – what it is and what it isn’t
• Sunrise Movement and the GND – how to get involved as the “Young at Heart” contingent
• What else is going on in Congress/Senate to address Climate Change
Stephan Cox will also speak. He is host and producer of the Washington State Indivisible Podcast (http://www.indivisiblepodcast.org), and will join us to discuss the show and its mission: to connect and inspire the many people and groups that make up the Indivisible movement in the state. He’ll also be asking for input and feedback on how the show can best serve the needs of Indivisible Bainbridge, through 2020 and beyond.
We will also write notes to our senators and Rep. Kilmer to encourage them to cosponsor the Green New Deal on fun notes. All supplies provided.
