Office Hours with Sens’ Murray’s and Cantwell’s Staffers

The meeting could get cancelled if the staffers get busy, which happens occasionally.

11.10 – Please join us a little after 11am at the coffee shop next door to the Federal Bldg, Cafe Hitchcock Express, 821 2nd Ave. We can chat and make notes to deliver to the senators’s staffers – and post on social media. Or just see us at the meeting. 🙂
12.30-1.30 – We meet with the senators’s staffers at the Federal Building.

With Spring around the corner – and the Green New Deal being a top priority right now, please join us writing to the senators – or to your reps. We will bring cards shaped like bunnies, eggs and chicks for you to write on. We will then take those for the senators in a basket to the meeting asking our senators to support the Green New Deal. We will have those for your reps hand delivered for you. Let’s keep up the pressure!
You are welome to bring your own postcards written previously of course, with or without spring themes. It will be a pretty visual when we photograh the staffers receiving them!
==[ Backstory ]==
The Tuesday meeting with our senators’ staffers will be monthly on the second Tuesday starting January 15th 2019. We have the House now: so we should spend more Tuesdays with our Reps!
In the past, we have held this meeting pretty much every Tuesday since January 2017. From time to time, they are not able to meet with us. If not, it will be noted at the Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/511177286061628
Kate, Sen. Murray’s staffer and Louise, Sen. Cantwell’s staffer will be available for the meeting.
We should be in the Eagle Room (in the cafeteria) again.
Please join us – all are welcome!
This is an opportunity for all constituents to meet with our senators’ staff and discuss how we feel: and which bills are important to us. Please bring questions, comments and concerns.
If you would like to, please bring signed letters from your group with information about initiatives / bills that you would like them to support: represent your group. You are also welcome to ask other participants to sign letters, of course.
