Rally at Bainbridge Ferry Terminal

Today, the 116th Congress starts – and we have the opportunity to be Progressive in a way that we have never done before. The current administration has been so heinous that multitudes of people have woken up to the fact that democracy is not a specatator sport. Let’s be heard!
We will rally at the ferry terminal in Winslow on Bainbridge Island. Please bring signs to highlight the issues important to you and your group.
Please bring letters to the rally about legislation / things that you want Rep. Kilmer to prioritize, including where you can:
1/ messages about why you want him to prioritize them
2/ statistics / facts / stories about locals who have been affected (with their permission)
3/ links to articles or printouts of articles
– Another alternative is to write letters as a group, including the suggestions above.
– Another option is to write a letter, email it to holly@hollybrewer.com and I will print it and take it for you.
We can sign each others’ letters as we want to: and then if the office is open we will deliver the letters to his staffers later in the day. If the office is not open, we will deliver them when it is.
The original plan was to meet with Rep. Kilmer’s staffers at 3: but we have been unable to contact them. This may be because of the government stutdown.
We wil arrange a meetng with them when they are contactable.
