Resist Trump Tuesday

Join us this Tuesday when we welcome former state representative Jesse Wineberry to explain I-1000; the state initiative that seeks to bring back affirmative action in this state. Jesse Wineberry will explain how current law makes it difficult to recruit, hire or promote applicants who are under-represented and how I-1000 would change that.
We will also welcome a speaker from Families For Families to speak on the Trump administration’s new policy of indefinite detention of immigrant children and how the administration’s threat of no green card if you’re a “public charge” has immigrant families fearfully avoiding needed public services.
Following our rally from 11:45AM-12:30PM, we will proceed inside for our weekly 12:30-1:30PM meeting with Senator Murray’s and Senator Cantwell’s staff. They are our representatives, come ask questions and tell them what you think.
