Taking Action for a Green New Deal

The Green New Deal is our country’s best chance to stop the existential crises of climate change and inequality, but some of our members of Congress have stayed silent on it. Sunrise Seattle has had many meetings at our members of Congress’ offices and sent many calls and letters, and some of the members of Congress have met our demands, but some of them aren’t listening.

Location: Meet in the lobby of the building on the SW corner of Madison St and 2nd Ave

Join us at Sunrise Movement’s largest action yet to show the public the urgency of the climate crisis and demand that all of our members of Congress sign on to the Green New Deal and stop taking fossil fuel money. This will be a disruptive, creative, and compassionate action, but we’ll be leaving the offices when they ask us to leave, so we don’t expect any interaction with the authorities at this action. All ages welcome.
