CCL: July Monthly Meeting w/ Dr. Renee Lertzman, environmental psychologist

next meeting of the Bainbridge Island chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby, which will be held online this Saturday, July 11th at 9:00 AM. We will meet as a local chapter until 10:00 AM, and then switch over individually to the CCL national monthly meeting. We will use Zoom software for both the chapter meeting and the national call. Instructions are given below.

10:00 AM – NATIONAL CCL MEETING
Each month, Citizens’ Climate Lobby supporters gather locally for a monthly meeting where we educate ourselves by listening to a guest speaker. The July meeting will feature environmental psychologist Dr. Renee Lertzman.

Feeling anxious and overwhelmed about climate change and our ability to solve the problem? Our guest this month, environmental psychologist Dr. Renee Lertzman, says we have a window of tolerance that, once we exceed it, causes us to shut down. Turning to the tools of psychology, we can acknowledge the feelings of anxiety that can immobilize us and create conditions that allow us to show up as our brilliant selves. Dr. Lertzman’s unique and integrated approach brings together the best of the behavioral sciences, social sciences and innovative design sciences to create a powerful approach to engagement and social change.
