Housing as Infrastructure & General Meeting

January 17, 2021 @ 11:30 am - 2:30 pm

Housing as Infrastructure: Why neoliberal messages won’t build strong coalitions
About this Event
YOU ARE INVITED TO
Share The Cities meeting on Sunday, January 17 from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm
Confirmed speakers are Jessyn Farrell (Civic Ventures & Super Mom), Shanti Singh (Tenants Together), Erin Fenner (WA CAN), and Ray Dubicki (Share The Cities & Super Dad)
We are looking for youth voices (ages 3-22) to talk briefly about Housing as Infrastructure — basically what would an ideal dream city look like.
Do you have a youth in your life that might want to participate? Do you have any parents / caregivers you can forward this to who have kids that might be interested?
Kids could read a statement, show a slide show, read a part of a book or describe a movie or video game and explain why the future of Seattle should be based on their daydreams. (2-3 minutes at the most. It is ok if it is less time, like 30 seconds, too.)
Event is January 17, 11:30 am – 2:30 pm and we can have youth drop by anytime in that window on zoom. I can provide a stipend for youth speakers.
Share The Cities is an all-volunteer land use organizing collective that is focusing in 2021 on municipal broadband and an Affordable Talaris.
We would like to meet any request for accommodations but need 30 days notice to raise funds to pay for any additional supports.
Please reach out as soon as possible sharethecities@gmail.com
