Rebecca Parson Speaks about her Campaign

April 27, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Rebecca Parson is running against Rep. Kilmer for CD6. She was previously the head of Tacoma Indivisible, and has a Progressive agenda – and is not taking $ from Super PACs.

Here are some of my questions for her – please bring your own. 🙂

Please explain your connection to AOC and connected Progressive groups 🙂

What legislation is already written to stop gerrymandering, super PACs and lobbyists?

Please explain how we can pay for medicare for all, and how that would impact smaller rural providers that depend heavily on Medicare. No one seems to know how to prevent the spread in opioid addiction. It seems to be corrupt medical professionals handing it out. What is the answer?

How can we feasibly pay for the coronavirus response stimulus and also get housing as a human right?

In Kitsap, what would it look like if we transitioned military spending to spending on a Green New Deal? How would that work and where would the manufacturing take place? What other manufacturing facilities would have to be built Federally?

How do you see the current crisis leading to a paradigm shift, where we can finally Federally have a logical conversation about climate change?

Traditionally in times of crisis, society has locked down civil rights in an effort to focus on feeding people. How can we maintain and hopefully strengthen human rights now?

This is a weekly meeting with BINKI, Bainbridge Indivisible and North KItsap Indivisible. The link to the zoom call:
