Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions on BI

August 1 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Hannah Ljunggren is City of Bainbridge Island’s new Climate Action Outreach Coordinator. She works with the City’s Climate Officer, Autumn Salamack, to encourage community participation in the Climate Smart Challenge.
The Climate Smart Challenge makes it fun and easy for everyone on the island to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and help us achieve our climate action goals.
Approximately 40% of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions come from five basic household activities that we do every day related to heating our homes, using electricity, transportation, food choices, and waste. The great news is there are more ways than ever for you to take action, save money, and make a difference! Learn what steps you can take to reduce climate pollution, how to prepare for the impacts of climate change, what resources are available to support schools and community groups, and how to form a team for some friendly competition.
