Sen. Rolfes Speaks About the Last Session

It’ll be Sen. Rolfes speaking, and then a Q and A.
Christine will talk about the bills that have gone through (having been pent up whilst we didn’t have the majority) as well as the bills that didn’t make it, like capital gains tax and presidential transparency that will wait for the next session.
Some of the bills that got through:
Funding for K-12 schools has increased by 50% (E2SSB 6362)
New grants created for free college for low-income students (E2SHB 2158)
We are the first state to provide a public option health care plan (SB 5526)
Jay Inslee’s nation-leading clean energy bill (SB 5116)
New law passed blocking guns sales to domestic violence abusers (ESB 6298)
