Social Security Works WA – Update on Social Security Expansion

The SSW WA Coalition will meet via Zoom (Zoom link below) July 28 at 11am. We will get reports on recent developments with the effort to terminate the ACO REACH program, on the introduction of the Social Security Expansion Act and on continuing threats to Social Security and Medicare. Alex Lawson from Social Security Works in DC will join us for the meeting and provide insights into what is happening in DC.
Attached is the flyer for the rally and picket next Friday, July 29, at 11 am. We will be located at the 5th Avenue entrance to the Columbia Tower where the regional office of the Department of Health and Human Services is located. HHS includes the Center for Medicare Services and the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation which has created and will be implementing ACO REACH.
Please, please, please help us build turnout for this demonstration of opposition to the ACO REACH program and the privatization of Medicare.
