Tackling Plastic: What’s Next for Washington?

July 21, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Washington state has passed some strong policies to address plastic pollution, but we can’t let up now. It’s time for Washington to follow the lead of Maine, Colorado, Oregon and California to make companies and manufacturers financially responsible for the pollution caused by the products and packaging they create.

Join us for “Tackling Plastic: What’s Next for Washington?” on Thursday, July 21, at 2 p.m. to hear from lawmakers and advocates about how producer responsibility can address the plastic waste crisis in Washington.

The event will be moderated by Pam Clough, Environment Washington Advocate, and our panelists will include:

  • Washington State Representative Liz Berry
  • WashPIRG Advocate Nicole Walter
  • Zero Waste Washington Executive Director Heather Trim

Attendees will receive a Zoom link via email to join the webinar after registering for the event.
