We’ll have keynotes on emotional resilience in the face of natural disasters, and a history of earthquakes on Bainbridge Island, followed by a live Q&A session with our leadership team and team leads.
We’ll also release a set of brief videos from our Team Leads the week prior to the Day of Preparedness for your review. Please bring questions from those presentations to the live Q&A on September 26 as well.

Dr. Stephen Angster and Dr. Jessie Pearl will present the history of earthquakes on Bainbridge Island.
Dr. Angster is a Research Assistant at University of Nevada, Reno, and a former geologist with the U.S. Geological Survey. Dr. Pearl is a Mendenhall Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the U.S. Geological Survey in Seattle.

Dr. Avanti Bergquist, MD, MS, FAPA, DFAACAP is a physician with board certifications in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry as well as Adult Psychiatry. She is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (APA), and serves in the Washington State Psychiatric Association (WSPA). Dr. Bergquist is also an elected member of the School Board for the Renton School District.
