WANT TO CANVASS IN A SWING DISTRICT BUT DON’T HAVE A CAR?

On Saturday, November 5, Swing Left is planning to bus everyone who wants to go from Seattle to Issaquah to knock on doors and talk to voters in WA-08, a must-win Swing District. It’s a great chance to get out there if you don’t have your own vehicle, and should be a fun day! You’ll be talking to voters to make sure they know about the election, are supporting Democratic candidates, and have a plan to get out and vote by Election Day, November 8.
Holding the U.S. House and Senate majorities and winning key races in states is necessary to continue making progress on issues from infrastructure to protecting abortion access to climate change to voting rights. Some of these races will be decided by razor-thin margins, so we need an all hands on deck effort to boost Democratic voter turnout during The Last Weekend—the last and best chance to connect with voters ahead of Election Day. You’ll be canvassing to support Representative Kim Schrier from WA-08.

The bus will leave Seattle at 11:00 am and return around 6:30 pm. The trip takes approximately 30 minutes, and there are bathrooms on the bus. You’ll be knocking on doors in the district from around 12–6pm.
