Climate Action Bainbridge Meeting

On Winslow Way just west of 305, take a left at Umpqua Bank and go to the back parking lot and enter the Sterling Bldg. from the back

WE’VE GOT A GREAT PROGRAM PLANNED:
Non-motorized transportation on BI – Automobiles are the biggest contributors to climate change in our area. Two local experts will lead a discussion of how we can get people out of cars and onto bikes, feet and buses. Don Willott from the city’s Multi-Model Transportation Committee and Chris Hammer, city engineering manager. Everyone’s input and ideas encouraged.

CCAs – An innovative program now in 7 states which lets communities choose clean energy sources. Ellen Lockert will share her work on CCAs and her experiences in getting Palm Springs to adopt the program.

Coming up:
October 14th (10 AM) and October 21 (12:30 PM) – we doorbell for CAB endorsed candidates for city council. Meet at T&C sit-down eating room.

October 16: PSE Community Forum (7 to 9PM) at BI Performing Arts.

October 21: BI Climate & Energy Forum (10:00 to 11:30 AM) at Eagle Harbor Congregational Church.
