Meeting with Rep. Kilmer

** Rep. Kilmer has a sick child at home, so he will be at home and only able to join us by phone.

** The meeting as is now will start around 1.15 because he needs to get settled in before that.  It will be for an hour.

** We should all be able to go into the meeting.  We are still planning on meeting before and after at the coffeeshop.

Chantell or Cheri will be there to let us in the office so we can use the conference room. There isn’t a conference phone in the conference room.

We will use a cell phone on speaker and pass it around the table as people speak.

Rep. Derek Kilmer will meet with 12 people for an hour!
We will have a person from each area / group go in as a priority, and make up the 12. We will talk about all issues that are important to us.

Please bring / write on shamrocks or postcards that we can stamp with shamrocks as a visual – the cards will be to support the Green New Deal. We will bring supplies – or you can bring cards from you / your group. The shamrocks are a visual so that we can take photos of delivering them and spread the word with the hashtag #GreenNewDeal and the handle @RepDerekKilmer.

We meet at Fraiche Cup by the ferry terminal, 105 Washington Ave, Bremerton, WA 98337. We talk about what we are going to ask him – and how we will handle his responses, AOC (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) style! In other words, be prepared to anticipate his responses – and dig deeper or counter them.

We will have an easter theme next month, for instance – and will make and deliver notes on yellow paper in egg and chick shapes to represent easter and write notes supporting the Green New Deal like: “we are eggcited about you supporting the Green New Deal” and “Don’t be chicken – support the Green New Deal” – or sensible messages 😉
