The tax scam is the most heinous and far-reaching legislation proposed so far. It could economically cripple us and permanently widen the rich-poor divide.

Please join us: come and meet with our senators’ staffers. They work for us. The most compelling way that you can influence legislation is by showing up! Our senators are democrats:

BUT BY SHOWING UP, WE GIVE THEM FUEL TO COMPEL COLLEAGUES TO CHANGE LEGISLATION THAT AFFECTS US AND OUR CHILDREN.
(like signing a petition – but waaaaaaay better!)

This is not only an extremely valuable way to connect with legislators, apply pressure, and learn about legislative process; it is also a unique way to communicate and work with Indivisibles throughout the Seattle area. Folks come from all over: Vashon Island, Renton, Kirkland, and Everett, etc..

==[ Terrible Legislation ]==
The #TrumpTaxScam threatens the Affordable Care Act. Under the Senate plan’s repeal of the individual mandate, premiums will rise and millions will lose coverage (as the healthy don’t sign up, only the sick and elderly). In addition, the tax cuts will slash Medicare and Medicaid: aside from the other ‘entitlements’ that millions stand to lose. Education, health care for our poor and elderly, Federal infrastructure, funding of Federal authorities to protect our environment, etc.: all of this funding is under attack. This would affect all of us.

The Net Neutrality vote is December 14th.

Haitian refugees are being expelled.
