We are trying to get Congress pass a U.S. Constitutional Amendment that would establish corporations are not people and money is not free speech.
When: Second Monday of the month, 6:30-7:30 pm
What: This is a WA statewide call to report and give updates on our push for a 28th Amendment. Find out what is happening locally and nationally, and how you can get involved.

As we push to get our Congressional Representatives to sign on to The We the People Amendment, House Joint Resolution 48 (https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-joint-resolution/48), we must not let up.
Showing up at town hall meetings, calling, writing and setting up meetings with representatives or their staff is very important to keep the momentum going.
So far Congressman Derek Kilmer in the 6th Congressional District, Congresswomen Pramila Jayapal in the 7th, Congresswoman Susan DelBene in the 1st, and Adam Smith in the 9th, have all signed on to HJR 48, which is almost of our Representatives. We have work to do to get the rest of our delegation to sign on.
There is not yet a Senate companion bill, but we predict one being introduced soon. We need to put pressure on our Washington State Senators Murray and Cantwell, and ask them to co-sponsorship a We the People Amendment, which would be a companion bill to HJR 48.
