2018 All-Hands Election Planning Summit by Sister District of Puget Sound

January 20, 2018 @ 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm

One year ago we marched. Today we organize.

With Dylan Cate, Director of Organizing and Strategic Campaigns for Washington State Democrats

Join Sister District of Puget Sound as we meet to plan out the next phase of Resistance to Republican minority governments on the state and national level. Find out about volunteer opportunities, sign up for events or committees, and help us plan out the electoral strategy for 2018 grass roots activists in the Puget Sound region.

In 2017, the national Sister District Project targeted 14 state legislative races, including races no other national organizations. 13 we won outright and 1 we put into recount territory, helping to flip our own Washington State Senate and potentially reversing the Virginia House of Delegates–something no observer was even discussing before the election. We hope to build on that success in 2018, organizing the grass roots energy that is so strong here in Seattle and pointing it where we can have the biggest impact.

We encourage all Sister District volunteers and anyone with an interest in advancing Democrats in swing districts to join us.

Doors open at 1:30 PM, event starts at 2:00 PM
