We march together. We rally together. We hurt together. And we heal together.
Next, we VOTE.
If we expect to be successful, then we must first acknowledge our failure. In the 2016 election, we failed. One way we failed is allowing Islamophobia to be weaponized against us, without even knowing that it was effectively being used to help win elections. With the Islamophobia machinery on full throttle and now even having reached the highest levels of our government, we continue to fail. With the upcoming election, it is more important than ever for us to understand and overcome Islamophobia, because it has a very real impact on us all. And we must do better if we hope to win.
