Author and CODEPINK founder, Medea Benjamin at Ground Zero

Medea Benjamin, co-author of “War in Ukraine: Making Sense of a Senseless Conflict,” will speak at the Ground Zero Center for Nonviolent Action in Poulsbo, Washington on Monday, March 13, at 10 am, while on a nationwide speaking tour marking the first anniversary of the Ukraine war (February 24th). Doors open at 9:30 am.

Medea Benjamin is the co-founder of the women-led peace group CODEPINK. She also co-founded the advocacy and human rights organization Global Exchange, and the Peace in Ukraine coalition.

This event, which will address the threat of use of nuclear weapons in the ongoing Ukraine war, is free and open to the public. Benjamin’s book will be available for sale, a potluck lunch will follow her talk, and a demonstration for Peace in Ukraine and the abolition of nuclear weapons will take place at 1:00pm at the Main Gate of the Bangor Trident submarine base in Silverdale, Washington.

There will be a potluck lunch at 11 am, followed by a demonstration at the Bangor Main Gate at 1 pm.
