Georgia is winnable, but it’s going to be hard.
There is a runoff 1/5 for 2 Federal senate seats in GA. Winning them would give us the majority in the Senate – and therefore, Dems could control which bills come to the floor. Mitch McConnell is currently known as the grim reaper, piling up bills that he won’t even allow to get a vote.
Winning both Senate seats will be the difference between Mitch McConnell as obstructor and Kamala Harris as tie-breaker. Progress on climate, healthcare, and democracy reforms hangs in the balance, so it’s all hands on deck.
What can we do? Because runoff elections hinge on turnout, our work should focus on boosting turnout, especially among low-propensity voters.
