Democracy Lobby Day

Friends, we have changed the date of this event to Wednesday, January 24. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Please join the League of Women Voters of Washington and Fix Democracy First in Olympia to lobby our legislators to improve election access, voting rights, campaign finance and legislative ethics.

On that day we will be meeting with legislators to advocate for bills that expand opportunities to vote, promote more representative election systems, empower disenfranchised communities, reduce the influence of special interest money and strengthen government ethics. We will also provide training on the critical Democracy issues in Washington and how to effectively advocate with your legislator.

While committee meeting schedule is yet to be determined, we are optimistic that some of the bills we are working on will be heard and discussed in committee that day. We will provide help for those who want to testify and assist in setting up meetings with your legislators.

We hope you will join us for the whole day, but it is not necessary that you stay until 3:00.
