Film Showing: Princess Angeline

January 22, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

As part of our on-going Real Rent effort, and in acknowledgement of the 163rd anniversary of the (unhonored) Treaty of Point Elliott, we are hosting a screening of the documentary ‘Princess Angeline’ at the Duwamish Longhouse on January 22nd. The film tells the story of the Duwamish, and highlights the life of Angeline, daughter of Chief Seattle. The film is just under an hour long. There is no cost for the event.

Doors Open – 6:30 pm
Potluck and Gathering – 6:30-7:00 pm
Welcome by Cecile Hansen (Duwamish Chairwoman) and Real Rent updates – 7:00 pm
Princess Angeline Screening – 7:15-8:15 pm

The evening is in part a celebration of the Real Rent movement so far – Real Renters are encouraged to attend! But the event is open to all, and Real Renters are invited to bring along friends and family. Part of the gathering is a potluck, so bring some food to share if you like, but if that is a hindrance please don’t worry about it!
