There will be light refreshments and great company! The 2020 election cycle and our connections with our elected officials give us great opportunities to affect change.

2020 is going to be the most important year in the fight for our next generation’s future, but whether it goes our way is up to us. For the first time in our lives, we have an opportunity to elect a President who will stand up to fossil fuel CEOs and fight to give all of us a chance at a just and prosperous future. Or, it could go the other way. A year from now, Donald Trump and his billionaire friends could still be running the show, sowing division and fear based on the color of our skin and where we’re from, and letting the planet burn in the meantime. Scientists around the world have been clear: we can’t afford another 4 years of inaction on the climate crisis. That will be a death sentence for millions of people.

How this year turns out is up to all of us. We have a plan to reach millions of people, make the climate crisis a critical election issue and elect a President who will make it their mission to tackle this crisis head on. But to succeed, this plan needs young people all across the country to step up and skill up in ways we haven’t done before, building power with our friends, classmates, neighbors and coworkers.
