Kitsap County Democrats Sheriff Candidate Forum 2021

With Kitsap County Sheriff, Gary Simpson, leaving office at the end of July, Kitsap County Democrats will hold a forum of people who have applied for the job.
Because Simpson was a Democrat, the county commissioners have asked the Democratic county party to forward the names of three candidates for sheriff to county commissioners by Aug. 2.
Commissioners will install a new sheriff for the remainder of Simpson’s term. To remain in office, Simpson’s replacement will have to stand for election in 2022.
