Northwest Immigrants Rights Project discussion

September 7, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm

$35.00

Join us for a learning and networking event around recent incidents in our country that have sparked passionate conversation and debate on the topic of immigration!

Jorge Baron, Executive Director of Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NIWRP) www.nwirp.org will share information and answer questions about NWIRP’s work on the recent crisis of asylum seekers separated from their children, as well as recent developments around the Dreamers Act, the travel ban, and any other questions you may have about immigration in the United States. We will also be joined by Maria Kolby-Wolfe, NWIRP’s Director of Development & Communications, who will speak about the #REUNIFYWA campaign, a bond and reunification fund devised to ensure that all families in immigration detention in the state of Washington are reunited as quickly as possible.

This space has been created to have a courageous conversation about the struggles of immigrants in Washington state and find ways to use your voice, time, and wallet to support fellow immigrants in our community.

Guests will enjoy complimentary food & drinks donated by our host, The Collective, and will also have the opportunity to make donations to NWIRP at the event. All proceeds from the fundraiser will support NWIRP.Join us to unify families!
