Postcards on Wednesday!

October 18, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Indivisible Bainbridge Island is writing postcards upstairs at the Town & Country, starting at 2:00 pm on Wednesdays. We’re writing to flip as many of the 18 congressional districts that Biden won in 2020 but were won by a Republican in 2022 as possible. We’ve got postcards, pens, scripts and stamps.

We are totally self-funded. Please help us with stamps if you can.

Top priority: writing for Susanna Johnson, challenging a MAGA-style incumbent Adam Fortney for Snohomish County Sheriff. Fortney invited an anti-mask/anti-vax sheriff from Arizona to help him fundraise. That kind of says it all about Fortney.

This week, we’ve got addresses for Ohio to remind them to vote to amend their state constitution to protect reproductive rights. Early voting started Oct. 11, and the election is Nov. 7. Cards need to be in the mail by Oct. 25.

We’ve got also got addresses for California’s 27th congressional district, currently represented by Mike Garcia (one of the 147 Republican congressmen who voted to overturn the 2020 election). The script is a pro-reproductive healthcare message.

Hope to see you there!

-Kathy and Holly

P.S., We may leave early once all addresses are distributed. You can also get postcards for the “throw Mike Garcia out” campaign from Holly’s front porch. We’ve also got “Donut Forget to Vote” postcards for the Ohio campaign. Then email Kathy to get the script and addresses. If you want to write for Susanna, email Kathy who will get the Susanna postcards to you.
