Postcards on Wednesday!

Indivisible Bainbridge Island is writing postcards upstairs at the Town & Country, at 2:00 pm on Wednesdays. We’re writing to flip those 18 congressional districts that Biden won in 2020 but were won by a Republican in 2022.
This week, we got addresses for New York’s 3rd congressional district, currently vacant now that George Santos has been expelled from Congress. The special election to fill this seat will be held on Feb. 13. Whoever wins this election will likely win in November, 2024, too.
We’re writing for the Democratic candidate, Tom Suozzi, using the “Donut Forget to Vote” postcards. The Republicans have nominated a registered Democrat who will caucus with the GOP if she wins. We expect to have enough postcards written by Jan. 15 to box them up and mail them to a contact in New York for a local postmark. We also expect to keep writing through January 24 as long as we can get addresses.
