Postcards on Wednesday!

Indivisible Bainbridge Island is writing postcards upstairs at the Town & Country, at 2:00 pm on Wednesdays. Our band of writers as doubled in size since January to about 20 people. It’s clear that Democratic momentum is growing!
In April, we’re writing to flip two Congressional districts in Arizona:
- CD 1, currently held by David Schweikert, a MAGA Republican who almost lost in 2022. Schweikert won in 2022 with 50.4% of the vote. We don’t have a candidate name yet, but we’re letting people know that like most Republicans, Schweikert is in favor of a national abortion ban and that birth control is next on the GOP agenda.
- CD 6, currently held by Juan Ciscomani, another MAGA Republican who won his seat in 2022 with 50.7% of the vote. We are writing in support of Kirsten Engel, who ran against Ciscomani in 2022 and got 49.2% of the vote. She is running again to win it.
In March, we wrote 1600 post cards for Ruben Gallego for U.S. Senate (replacing Kirsten Sinema who has decided not to run for re-election) and boxed up our cards and mailed them to a contact in Arizona for mailing there with a local postmark.
