PSE Rate Hearing In Olympia – Say No To Coal & Gas!

Help us stand with our friends at FUSE as they tell Puget Sound Energy to close their Coalstrip power plant by 2025. This plant was recognized as the country’s 3rd worst climate polluting facility in 2015. The Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission is having a hearing in Olympia on Thursday August 31st starting at 6pm and will be accepting public testimony. The hearing is in the Richard Hemstad Building on the 2nd floor in the Commissioner’s Hearing Room. Let’s pack that hearing!!!
This is also a great opportunity for those of us fighting the toxic LNG fracked gas plant in Tacoma to tell PSE that customers are done paying rate increases for fossil fuel infrastructure that we don’t want. The majority of the American people want renewable energy yet corporations like PSE continue to use our money to prop up fossil fuel projects instead. This is our chance to talk to the Washington UTC about the dangers of so called “natural” gas & dispel some of the greenwashing done by corporations like PSE.
