PSE Regional Day of Action

September 21, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Join people around WA state who are visiting their local Puget Sound Energy offices on Thursday, September 21st to send a loud and clear message that we oppose “natural” fracked gas expansion, we Stand with the Puyallups who are opposing the LNG (Liquified “Natural” Gas) project in Tacoma, and we demand PSE shut down it’s dirty Colstrip coal power plant in Montana, bypass “natural” gas conversion, and move to 100% renewables.

Puget Sound Energy (PSE), owned by a for-profit Australian Corporation, wants to expand “natural” fracked gas infrastructure in WA state and thereby increase our dependence on this dangerous fossil fuel for decades to come. They are moving swiftly to build a huge liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in Tacoma, despite Puyallup tribal and local community opposition. They do not have all their permits yet, so we still have the power to stop them.

With the PNW literally burning, the Salish Sea poisoned and at risk, and the effects of Climate Chaos showing it’s ugly face all across the planet, affecting those most marginalized and least responsible for this situation, all new fossil fuel investments need to stop — including Tacoma’s LNG facility.

Stand with Puyallup, the Salish Sea, and Mother Earth!

Link with action locations at PSE offices across the state coming soon. Stay tuned but do save the date.
