Rally Against the Attack on Roe v. Wade

Please join us and rally against the Supreme Court hearing arguments on Dec. 1 to begin striking down Roe vs. Wade. The SCOTUS has now decided to support Texas’ abortion ban. This happened on Friday:
‘The Supreme Court left in place Friday a Texas abortion law that bars the procedure after the first six weeks of pregnancy, but the justices said that abortion providers have the right to challenge the law in federal court.
The court’s action means that the case will return to a district court for further proceedings, but it may still be difficult for providers to open their doors again.’ CNN.com

We don’t want women’s reproductive rights to go back 70 years. Wealthy and poor women all deserve the right to take charge of their own bodies.
The House passed the Women’s Health Protection Act, which codifies Roe v. Wade into law, in September. (Big thanks to Rep. Kilmer for voting for it.)
We want Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to bring “The Women’s Health Protection Act,” S. 1975 to the Senate floor for a vote. S.1975 is currently in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Our senators are co-sponsors. Let’s support them! We want our senators to pressure their colleagues to vote for it.
We also want Rep. Kilmer and our senators co-sponsor and vote for H.R.2584/S.1141, “The Judiciary Act,” to expand the Supreme Court. The bill would increase the number of justices on the Supreme Court from 9 to 13. The Senate bill currently has two cosponsors: Sens. Ed Markey and Tina Smith. And the House bill has 43 co-sponsors – none of them Rep. Kilmer.
