Stonechild Memorial Caravan

July 3, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

From Chuck Wagner:

The Stonechild Chiefstick Memorial Caravan will start at the Suquamish Village Parking Lot, 18490 Suquamish Way NE, and travel to Muriel Iverson Williams Waterfront Park in Poulsbo, on July 3, 2020, leaving at 7pm.

It will be a year since Poulsbo Police Officer Keller killed Stonechild Chiefstick for having a screwdriver. And still no Justice for Stoney.

People are rising up, demanding change and accountability.

To participate, gather at the Suquamish Village at 6pm: we’ll leave at 7pm in a caravan to Poulsbo, supported by the Suquamish Police.

Or, you can meet up with the Caravan at the First Lutheran Church, 18920 4th Avenue NE, in Poulsbo, at around 7:15pm, and drive or walk to Waterfront Park.

After arriving at Waterfront Park, there will be prayer songs, and speakers will share their words for his children. There will also be time to share community demands for change.

A 9:22pm, the time Stoney was killed, there will be a closing song.

Join Stoney’s family and his community for this remembrance. #BlackLivesMatter #NativeLivesMatter #SayTheirNames
