Tax Amazon to Build Affordable Housing Protest

Affordable housing has grown increasingly scarce in Seattle, pushing more and more working people out of the city and sometimes into homelessness. Meanwhile, Amazon makes record profits. Jeff Bezos, with his $100 billion, has become the world’s richest person. Join us for a protest on the streets at the Amazon campus! Demand that Seattle tax the largest corporations to build affordable housing and address the homelessness crisis.

Amazon scandalously received a $789 million windfall this year on old unpaid taxes just from Trump’s corporate tax cuts. The City Council needs to tax the biggest businesses like Amazon to fund affordable housing. But we cannot put our faith in the corporate politicians in City Hall – we need to build our own movement!
