The Urbanist Meetup: Climate Change and Urbanism w/ 350 Seattle

This monthly social event is free and open to everyone. Come by if you want to meet other people who care about our city, network, or hear from an inspirational speaker at a local pub. You can find us in the billiards room on the lower level, and our guest speaker starts at 6:30 PM.

This month’s guest will be members of 350 Seattle, a local group that works toward climate justice by organizing people to make deep system change: resisting fossil fuels; building momentum for healthy alternatives; and fostering resilient, just, and welcoming communities. They will be discussing the outcome of the election and initiative 1631 and talking generally about where they see efforts between climate organizers and urbanists aligning, with a focus on what’s next after the election, the concept of city climate budgets, and the broader agenda for climate justice in Seattle.
