Town Hall: Big Business Tax!

How can we support our community during the COVID-19 pandemic while building power for the future? For starters, we’re fighting for a progressive tax in Seattle to protect those most vulnerable to the global pandemic — and other now-compounded crises.
📝 800+ people have signed our petition calling on city leaders to tax the largest corporations to fund emergency relief, permanently affordable housing, and a city-wide transition away from fossil fuel infrastructure. But since we’re all staying at home to protect ourselves and our communities, it’s harder to see ourselves as part of a larger movement — even though THOUSANDS of people in Seattle are part of the grassroots movement to tax big business!
📣 So, we’re launching this Town Hall series to establish a digital space where we can connect with each other, learn more about the movement, strategize, and build the support we’ll need to win.
