Divest Chase Bank Water Ceremony Friday April 27th noon 12:00pm (West Lake Park 401 Pine St). We gather at West Lake then head to the bank to send up a prayer for water, to send up a blessing of cleansing water over the ill actions of Chase Bank, to protect water with song and good medicine, to protect water from the destructive aspect of hundreds of millions of dollars invested into Tar Sands Pipelines, LNG facilities and other fossil fuel expansion projects and to protect all the beings of our Salish Sea!

Chase Bank is the number one bank investor in Tars Sands Oil Projects. Chase and other major banks invest in infrastructure for the most water intensive fossil fuel sources in the world… The Alberta Tar Sands where it takes and pollutes 3 barrels of sacred pure water to produce 1 barrel of toxic Tar Sands oil then the toxic water is dumped into open earth tailing ponds half the size of the city of Seattle! JPMorgan Chase is the worst among the world’s major banks financing Tar Sands Pipelines and the companies behind them (Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain Pipeline which would bring nearly 1 million barrels of Tar Sands oil to our Salish Sea and transport it in 400 Oil Tankers! TransCanada’s Keystone XL, and Enbridge’s Line 3 expansion). It is time for all people to pull their money out of these Climate Killing Banks.

We will be doing ceremony at one of these Banks who invest in Oil Pipelines. LNG and Tar Sands oil infrastructure. We come together so the children of our Xa’xe Tengoxw (Sacred Mother Earth) will have clean drinkable water and a livable, harmonious future free of a Collapsed Climate from fossil fuel expansions, free of environmental racism.
