Court Support: #ShutDownChase Trial

On May 8, 2017 we sent a message to Chase Bank: Business as usual cannot continue as long as you continue to fund tar sands extraction. 26 people were arrested for nonviolent civil disobedience, shutting down 13 bank branches in one day.
Exactly one year and 15 days later, the first two of the 26 arrested will be starting their trial. This also comes one day after a national#ShutDownChase day of action. When will Chase get the message?
Please come show your support for these climate activists! Currently the courtroom is 1003, but that is subject to change. The trial will likely start with jury selection and pre-trial motions, followed by opening statements and testimony. Stop by when you can! It is possible that the trial will continue for one or more days, so watch this event for updates and other ways to show support!
Please note that the court does not allow signs or messages in the courtroom. But lots of friends showing up in support always looks good 🙂
