Right now Ecology is updating their Oil Spill Contingency Plan, but they are not going far enough. This plan requires companies moving oil to have detailed spill-response plans that address the specific threats of tar sands crude oil. Unfortunately, early drafts of the updated plan are inadequate and leave us at-risk of a catastrophic oil spill.
